Barnes & Nobles should share ownership stock with me! I've ordered so many books through them it's ridiculous. I have a lot of books that I've read and some that are just waiting to be read. Either way I've got them and most have come highly recommended.
Here is a list of the books I've read and that I would recommend. You don't have to be an aspiring midwife to read them either. I wish I had read them before I had my children. They teach you a lot about childbirth!
Becoming a Midwife by Carolyn Steiger
Taking Charge of your Fertility by Toni Weschler
Silent Knife by Nancy Wainer and Lois Estner
Here is a list of books that I've been recommended to read. Some I have some are on my list to get:
Spiritual Midwifery by Ina May Gaskin.
Gentle Birth Choices by Barbara Harper.
Birth & the Dialogue of Love by Marilyn Moran
Childbirth Without Fear by Dr. Grantly Dick-Read
Heart and Hands by Elizabeth Davis
Open Season by Nancy Wainer Cohen
VBAC Companion by Diana Korte
Supernatural Childbirth by Jackie Mize (NOTE* this book is centered on a Christian belief)
